HK Trip Day 4

Sorry for my delay update for HK trip post, been really busy and tired to blog. Here you are, my HK trip Day 4. Happy moments never last long, finally our HK trip is going to end soon.

Day 4, as usual we had our breakfast in lunch time because it really took quite some time to walk to the MTR station, waited for the subway (although MTR service in HK is really efficient, still time are wasted), walked all the way to the restaurant.

Looked at our HK pics, we had been eating the similar food for all our breakfast, lunch and dinner. Wantan noodles, Char siew rice and seafood. We did not try out their very typical HK breakfast like polo bun and nai cha (milk tea) in those oldy char chang teng (kopitiam). All our meals were eaten in air-conditioned reataurants.

Again again and again, beef meatball noddles, fishball noodles, freash prawn wantan noodles... I think their noodles are all manufactured by the same supplier, the same nice taste.

My favourite drink in HK, dong leng cha (凍檸茶)- iced lemon tea.


Yam pie from HK's McDonalds which you must order! It's called TARO pie there and this is so finger licking nice! Mr. Wayne (my bf in case you don't know) ordered as "bei ngor yat kor YAM pie" and he repeated for 3-4times unfortunately the crew don't get him. At last he pointed to the pic only the crew corrected him with TARO pie. So remember, it is TARO pie. =p

Why Msia don't have this one! I want the banana pie back and please drop the apple pie!

After 'breakfast', we off to the must-go shopping mall - Chung Tung Citygate, there are many outlets such as CK jeans, Esprit, Nike, Addidas, Coach that offering up to 70% discount. The most worth goods to buy there is Esprit clothes. The normal Esprit t-shirt selling in Msia at RM59 is only HK $59! So cheap that I feel I've been cheated for the past few years.

Cool gal for the day, she put on her earphones and focusing on her 'sentenced to hell' book for the whole day.

See, shopaholic nowadays are not gals anymore. :)


Our next destination, Avenue of Star. The crowds are mostly tourists and there are alot of Dai Lok people (大陸人）! I think it's due to summer holidays.


This is another spectacular scenery, same as Victoria Peak, it will be more wonderful in the night with all the lights on.

Suddenly, we smell something delicious and find for the smell and this is the place that seducing our stomach>> roasted squid!

Despite the smell, it was not nice as too hard to chew.

They were not very into the scenery i think. According to ah yi, HK people won't be visiting local attractions. I understand, it's like us M'sian never think of visiting KL tower.

Cool? I used to be a director.

She finished the book in 1 day time, so geng.

I really in love with HK! The scenery, the food, and of course for the shopping!

Opps! I had been eating too much in HK! :p

The time we leave avenue of star is already evening means it's dinner time AGAIN!

Can you stop snapping? I'm mad HUNGRY!

Our dinner for that night was in Yau Ma Tei's Temple street (廟街), there were incident which people throwing bottle with acid. We were afraid of standing by the stall without roof! Temple street is not a good place to shop, the price is abit high compared to other street like Ladies street. However you can try out the food there, the food is nice although it is a little bit expensive.

I feel so blissful in HK! Keep eating, shopping, playing and sleeping! What a life!

So satisfied with our dinner! After a while of shopping, we gone back to our hotel and a day in HK gone! It's really usefull to have a map like this as it stated very clear of route in HK.

HK Trip Day 3

We went to Central (中環) on the third day. Central is quite similar to Damansara or Mont Kiara in M'sia, it is the most classy area in HK. All the accomodation, shopping and food are more expensive compared to Kowloon area.

I didn't do any shopping at Central because of my limited budget, I think I will end up sleeping in hotel room for the rest of the days if I were. Oh, I'm wondering how much HK people earn in order to survive.

We had our breakfast in Li Ka-Shing's (李家成) building. Fyi, he is the richest man in HK and the movie star Isabella is her second daughter-in-law.


According to Aunt Vicki, all the Philipines people love to assemble here and I witnessed them dancing there with hitz song playing loud!

As you can see, the weather is just nice although it is summer!

Did you notice that all the buildings in HK are so tall? I was so not used to buildings in Msia when I just arrived in my own country!

Uncle Li's building

We had our breakfast in 大家樂, fast food chain restaurant in HK. But the food are not really nice. This is my spaghetti and it's disgusting and made me no appetite!

Honey roasted chicken rice and neither this is tasteless!

The richest HK man!

We were waiting for the peak tram. You can either take cab or bus to reach the peak or you can choose to go up by peak tram. Try to experience the peak tram, it's quite fun.

In the tram, we managed to get the front seat. He was so afraid of height as the tram go higher! It is not that scary actually.

I have no idea who is this, so kiasu and took a pic with him.

We get a couple hand wax there, it's cheaper to make it here. The price for one hand is HK $20 plus adding colour another $20 whereas for two hands like pic above is $60 included colouring. 4 of us get this and it is only RM80, cheaper than you get one hand wax in M'sia.

The wax museum is situated here but we did not pay a visit as the entrance fee is so expensive, RM80 plus per person. It's not worth to go inside just for a few pic somemore those celebrities are not REAL!

The Victoria Peak, from here you can get the whole HK view. This require entrance fee also but it's not expensive and you can use octopus card to pay. Octopus card is everything in HK!

The scenery is just breathtaking! I think night will be nicer to see the light show.

Poor guy, he was too afraid and Kelly is comforting him.

This is the nearest he can stand from the view.

The wind is strong and it was so hot at that time!

I was stunned when this little gal hang these 2 fluffy thingy on her ears! Freak me out! Then I found out that she put them on her earrings!

We took bus to get to the ground and the consequences is both of me and Kelly got dizzy because of the curvy road and we sat opposite of the direction where the bus moved! Since then, I kept feeling dizzy no matter on the bus, cab or subway! Almost all the roads in HK are curvy and there are full of crazy drivers which they drove really fast without breaking when they need to take a turn!

This little shop's name is cute ...OH MY DOG...

Her chicken wings, she ate all four with licking fingers! This small shop served western food and the environment is not bad but the price is a bit high.

Bread with cheesy hogdog. What you can say if you saw this? OH MY DOG!!!! It's so big! You can only order this if you have a really wide mouth.

My french fries, so little and this is HK $14! Crazy!


See, it's true! You can't order this unless you have WIDE mouth! =p
*I'm just kidding, don't angry okay?*

It's time for dinner again. After shopped in a HK's "Sungai Wang" shopping mall, we had our dinner there and the food are so so nice! This is my Shanghai wantan noodles, the wantan are good, the noodles are good, the soup taste is just nice!

Beef meatball noodles

Che chai min (車仔面), also known as la za min (dirty noodles). It's actually instant noodles with any dishes you want to add in it. We thought it should be something special.

Oh yummy! Curry fishball! We did not try this out here but other stall near Fa Yuen street and it tasted good but too spicy for me!

Around 9pm and we got back to our hotel room. Time for us to return to the hotel was getting earlier and earlier because we were too exhausted after days of walking from the hotel and to the hotel.

Hence, we need some food for supper to charge up our energy after the tiring walking! Here you are, our junk food! I'm happy that pringles in Msia is only RM5 the max. You know how much is pringles there? I was like What??? $17?? But ended up we bought it.
